There are four different battlegrounds you are able to play. There is Warsong Gultch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley, and Eye of the Storm. Many people will do this as a break from leveling or farming and to just have fun. Others choose to make their career out of it because the love the PvP action. Either way, you get Honor from killing Horde, captiong flags and bases, and winning the Battleground itself. Honor will be used to buy the gear. As well, you get tickets from each game you play. If you win you will receive three, if you lose only one. These also go with the Honor to buy goodies. The goodies are found in the Champion Hall in the Barracks in Stormwind, check it out sometime. The Rewards will be explained later.

There is also a Daily Quest to win a certain Battleground. If you win it, you can turn it in for XP, money, and for some extra honor. There is a different one each day. As well, once you are level 61 you can turn in one of each mark for extra honor.

To go along side the gear getting and achievement side of PvP, there is Arena. In Arena you either have a team of 2, 3, or 5. Once you hit 70 you are able to play ranked battles. You go in with another group equal or near your team's lowest personal rating. This way the match up is more fair. Your team fights to the death. You must play a minimum of 10 games per week (starting Tuesday) if you want to get Arena Points. The higher the team rating, the more you get each week. These are calculated every Tuesday as well. You can turn this in for weapons and armor (epics) from the vendors in Area 52, Netherstorm. The Rewards will be explained later on.

Others rather PvP on the streets than in Battlegrounds or Arena. The name explains it all, you just kill Horde on the street, whenever you see them in PvP you go at them. You still get Honor from this, however only for the kill. It can lead to the same gear from Battlegrounds, but only if you take the time to get the Tickets as well.
